On January 1, 2013 that is…at one of the area’s State Parks. As a national collaboration of all 50 State Parks across the U.S. there will be guided “First Day Hikes” again this year on New Year’s Day. Only entrance fees will be charged at the parks and program fees will be waived.
These hikes are a great way for families to spend quality time together, get the kids outside and unplugged from their “electronic toys.” They offer the opportunity to begin the New Year refreshed and reconnected with the outdoors by taking a healthy walk at one of our incredible State Parks. These hikes offer ways to get outside, exercise and enjoy nature, and at the same time welcoming the New Year with family and friends.
For details about the different parks and types of hikes visit Arizona State Parks, or call El Portal Sedona Hotel at 1.800.313.0017. We offer our guests personalized concierge services for the Sedona area, and hiking in Sedona is one of our specialties.
At the end of the day, come “home” to El Portal and curl up around the cozy fireplace in our great room, or the one in your room, and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa or a glass of
wine, the perfect finish to a wonderful start to 2013.
El Portal is a pet friendly Sedona hotel, where your pet stays for free.
