Saturday, January 26 is the newest changing exhibit of the Sedona Heritage Museum – “One Family’s Closet: 1912-1962.” The museum will be hosting an opening reception from 10:00am-11:00am on the 26th. This new exhibit features nine areas representing Jordan family clothing, including items that belonged to various members of one Arizona pioneer family the Jordan Family: Annie Bristow Jordan, Ruth Woolf Jordan, Anne Jordan Jackson, Helen Jordan, and other family members. (The Jordan family is an integral part of Sedona’s history).
The exhibit is one component of a 4 month project that also includes textile preservation workshops in February and March, interpretative tours of the exhibit during its duration, and special educational elements created for students.
The Sedona Heritage Museum is located at 735 Jordan Road in Jordan Historical Park, is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please call 928-282-7038 for additional information.
