		<description>May 27 2011
I brought my wife to this hidden jewel in Sedona. Steve and his staff welcomed us with open arms. It was like staying in a private home. Very relaxing. We brought our dogs with no problem. The place was beautiful and had one of the nicest wheelchair accessible rooms I&#039;ve ever seen. We can&quot;t wait to come back again. It is one beautiful place.

<description>My husband and I were looking for a relaxing weekend away from our busy lives in southern California and El Portel exceeded our expectations. The relaxed atmosphere and inviting nature of the hotel was a breath of fresh air compared to the typical hotels we have stayed in. Both mornings the helpful staff directed us to amazing hikes in the Red rocks national park .The spectacular bedroom style rooms and dining room felt like we were staying in and old friends home. The quaint setting in the courtyard was a great place to have an evening glass of wine and nurse our sore legs from the days hike. We had a great time and will definantly be back. Thank you for providing a setting for the weekend we needed.
