Every once in a while you come across one of those special places to stay. The property is a mastercrafted mud brick luxurious retreat. Well designed throughout with every comfort considered. Individually crafted rooms kind of makes you want to change around! We started off in the Governor’s Suite and then moved, as we extended our stay, into two other rooms, equally beautiful and rustic. Actually we only were supposed to have one but since it was low season, Steve gave us the other one for free which was very kind. Exceptional views and exceptional hosts. Steve and Connie have created a homely, warm environment. Always a fire on, afternoon tea, delicious breakfast (that is extra), lovely wines and excellent location in Sedona. Steve is a warm hearted and interesting guy, full of information about what to do, where and how. We didn’t want to leave. The free access to the Spa at the hotel next door is the icing on the cake. One morning I rode the exercise bike that is setup on the balcony overlooking the red rocks. Does it get better than that? We were there with our three children aged 12, 9 and 6 and they loved roaming around the courtyard, playing with the guests’ dogs and making hot chocolates.
