This is our third trip back to Sedona, and after our first stay at El Portal 3 years ago, we couldn’t even imagine staying anywhere else. The owners, Connie and Steve, or Terry or Fran, who help to welcome guests, make everyone feel at home. This is nothing like staying in a hotel…more like staying with friends. We, as well as a few of the other guests, were even invited by the owners to share a casual dinner with them that they had made themselves. The rooms are luxurious, very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. There is a central courtyard that is lush with flowers, trees and other plants. Hummingbirds are everywhere and it it delightful to sit out there and watch them feeding. Steve lights a firepit every evening, so the courtyard can be enjoyed even when the air chills. I just cannot say enough about this place. We are actually signed up next year, which will make our fourth year in a row. I already can’t wait! (Siddalee, MD)

Have stayed here quite a few times over the past 2 years…always stayed in a different room…we’ve found the rooms spacious, each is unique. Owners and other inn workers are helpful without being “in your face” The location is a perfect central location for both outdoor activities and gallery hoping.
This is a high-end type Inn, with a casual-laid back feel.
Breakfast is not included in the price of the rooms, but is worth having at least one morning of your stay.
They are truly a dog friendly (med-large) Inn…they do have rooms specifically designated as dog friendly, and not — so, don’t worry if you have allergies, etc.
If you want a room with “Sedona Light” choose one of the 2nd floor rooms.

I brought my wife to this hidden jewel in Sedona. Steve and his staff welcomed us with open arms. It was like staying in a private home. Very relaxing. We brought our dogs with no problem. The place was beautiful and had one of the nicest wheelchair accessible rooms I’ve ever seen. We can”t wait to come back again. It is one beautiful place.
