Decorated for Christmas!

“We initially planned to stay at the El Portal for 2 nights but we were so impressed with this beautiful, welcoming inn that we stayed for 4 nights and would have stayed longer if our schedule had allowed. Travelling with 2 dogs, one very large, can sometimes prove challenging but as soon as we arrived at the El Portal we knew that we were at the most dog friendly place we had ever stayed! Our dogs were treated as honored guests and were welcome to be in the lounge area with us (as long as they were on a leash), could sit by the fire in the courtyard and were provided with a doggie welcome bag including a sheet, towel and dog cookies and there are no dog fees charged! In addition to being a great place to stay with your dogs, El Portal is an outstanding place for guests of the human variety as well. Our room was large and had an authentic southwest feel, quiet adobe walls, beautiful beams, comfortable bed, and was extremely clean. Steve, Connie and staff are extremely gracious and attentive and provided great suggestions for what to see and do in Sedona.” (6053)

“My wife and I travelled to Sedona to enjoy Thanksgiving with my wife’s family. This was our first visit to the El Portal Hotel but it won’t be our last. The hotel is everything that people have written about before: elegant, beautiful, wonderful rooms, great staff and amazing breakfasts. Truly first class all the way.” (MedicalSearchGuy)

“Everything about El Portal is built around comfort and a sense of “home”. From the Arts and Crafts antique furniture & styling to the juniper wood stocked fire pit burning in the courtyard, everything is comfortable. Not to mention the cookie jar in the main dining room! Never have I looked forward to just sitting around and relaxing in the hotel in which I was staying before (especially in a place where there is so much to do outdoors!). Connie & Steve treated us like we were family and made our stay a truly memorable family vacation. There is no doubt that we will return for another stay at El Portal.” (CaddisFly09)
