Why El Portal Sedona Loves RENÉ at Tlaquepaque and You Should Too!

RENÉ at Tlaquepaque is casual French dining at its finest! The restaurant has been around for over 35 years, serving outstanding food and wines in the casual elegant surroundings of Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. Dining at RENÉ should be at the top of your “What to do in Sedona” list.

The food is amazing! Executive Chef Walter Paulson has been creating culinary masterpieces at RENÉ for over twenty years. The restaurant offers a wide variety of traditional French cuisine, southwestern food, and a selection of dishes for those who prefer to dine vegetarian and gluten-free; with an award-winning wine list. RENÉ serves lunch, lite lunch (this is a cool menu!), and dinner. For lunch try the Saute Brie or Mushroom Streudel – divine…Lite lunch is served from 2:30-5:30 pm, offering flatbreads, croissants, soups, and salads. Dinner is a sensory experience – see, smell, and taste – presentation, aroma, devour! A few of our favorites are the Seared Scallops, Dover Sole, Colorado Rack of Lamb a la René or Roasted Duck. Of course, the appetizers, salads, and desserts are NOT to be missed.

What sets RENÉ apart from other restaurants is not only the cuisine and ambiance but the service too. We love the personal attention afforded to every guest. You don’t earn awards with poor service and RENÉ certainly has its share of awards including:

  • AAA – Three Diamonds
  • MOBIL TRAVEL GUIDE – Three Stars
  • Voted by Sedona residents “Best Place to Celebrate a Special Occasion”
  • Voted Sedona “Best of the Best” – Best Seafood 2012
  • Voted Sedona “Best of the Best” – Best Wait Staff 2012

El Portal Sedona HotelRENÉ is just steps from El Portal in a beautiful, romantic courtyard with soothing fountains, ancient sycamores, and original works of art. You can dine outside or inside (a more formal setting).

The restaurant is not to be missed on your trip to Sedona. El Portal Sedona Hotel loves RENÉ and you will too!
